TAKING THE HEADACHES OUT OF SAFETY SYSTEM CALIBRATIONS

★★★★★
“Since teaming up with Akron ADAS, Tallmadge Collision has reduced the time it takes to repair a vehicle by 2 days. Anyone tracking cycle time knows how beneficial this can be vs waiting to get into the dealership. Thank you!”

Frequently Asked Questions
How many types of calibrations are there?
There are 2 basic types of calibrations. Static, which involves placing a target in front of the sensor that is to be calibrated. And Dynamic, which involves driving the vehicle in a specific set of conditions to allow the sensor to learn its position and attitude on the vehicle.
If there are no lights on or codes stored, there’s no need to calibrate, right?
Nope! Generally, if a sensor has been removed, or the area near it has been repaired, that sensor will require a calibration. There are other services besides collision repair that can require a calibration, including windshield replacement, and wheel alignment.
Why should I use a dedicated calibration center like Akron ADAS Calibrations?
Like any other specialty service provider, we only offer services related to our industry. Our tooling and technicians’ training are being continually updated to better serve your needs.
Can you do the calibration(s) at my location?
That depends. If you have a suitable area (i.e. level floor, lots of open floor space) then we can certainly do most services on site. If you don’t, we’ll gladly pick up and return the vehicle to you, no charge.
Why wouldn’t I just go to the dealer for these services?
From talking to some of our customers about their experiences with the dealerships, there seems to be a couple of common complaints: First is time. Sometimes a car will sit at the dealer for days, weeks, or even months before it gets looked at. Second is quality. We hear a lot of complaints of work not being done properly, if at all, and then still being given a hefty bill.
